Woodland Carbon
Demonstrate your commitment to the environment by removing your business CO2 emissions with Woodland Carbon

Woodland Carbon offers businesses an accredited method of removing carbon emissions from the atmosphere through the creation of much needed new native woodland in the UK. You can mitigate your business' emissions, or those of one of your products or services, at the same time as preparing the UK landscape to deal with climate change, protecting biodiversity and giving back to communities.
For example, to mitigate for the carbon emissions from 1,000,000 business travel air miles, 0.75 hectares of land would need to be planted up at cost of £4,500, removing around 300 tonnes of CO2.
The Woodland Trust operates in the voluntary carbon market, and we run projects planting new native woodland at sites across the UK. Our projects are ideal to help businesses meet increasing customer demand for them to mitigate their UK CO2 emissions locally, providing tangible benefits they can enjoy.
It is priced at £15 a tonne of CO2. For transactions over 2,000 tonnes please contact us for 'at scale' pricing.
The Woodland Trust's carbon scheme is also part of the Government's new forest carbon standard, the Woodland Carbon Code. The Code is the domestic equivalent of international voluntary standards and has been designed to ensure compatibility with the rapidly developing international carbon market. PricewaterhouseCoopers is also under instruction to audit Woodland Carbon.
